How Argentina taxes you

Argentine tax residents pay income tax (Ganancias) on worldwide income, with a credit for tax paid abroad; non-residents pay only on Argentine income. A foreigner living in Argentina for reasons other than work becomes tax resident from the 13th month. Rates run from 5% to 35%; the bands below are for 2025, and from 2026 they are adjusted twice a year for inflation. Foreign dividends and interest are taxed at the same rates, while interest on savings accounts in Argentine banks is exempt.
